THE CAST IRON POUR OF CENTENNIAL PARK RESERVOIR GATE

A crew of four pairs was required for this complicated pour, as well
as a crew to charge the furnace. The complexity of the mould required
four pour inlets, the molten metal fusing on contact.

The pour was 3 times larger than any previous using the maximum
capacity of two furnaces.

This project won Wrought Artworks a commendation in the Energy Australia,
National Trust Heritage Awards. A documentry titled 'Baking a Gate' by Julia
Boros was sceened on the ABC.
