If you share a matching frontage in your terrace or semi it looks very elegant and traditional to have a matching gate and palisade fencing. This design of gate features a sheet metal infil with a raised pattern at the bottom and heavy scroll work at the top, along with picket verticals. Hand made latch and hinge work are in keeping with the period.We restored the cast iron post (circa 1880) and mounted it on  a base that fitted the curve of the plynth.  We also made and installed the pallisade fencing between and along the street frontage of the two properties.
