Cast Iron Work / Valve Chamber Lid - Oxford St Reserve
 
     
 
 

As a part of the contract for the conservation of the cast iron work for Oxford St Reserve in Paddington,
Wrought Artworks made this pattern with raised text and graphics to cast a decorative covering for the
'Valve Chamber' at the entrance of the Reservoir.

This octagonal casting  measured 3.5m across and was made in nine sections.
It weighs in excess of 2.5 tonnes.
It was cast in high strength ductile iron and installed onto a supporting steel frame.
