Reproductions / Vernon Lamppost Restoration

Recently Wrought Artworks restored seven original lamposts designed by the eminent Government Architect, Sir Walter Vernon.
These early 19th century designsare located in what is now the Sydney Olympic Park in Homebush.

The lamposts were completely disassembled to clean the corrosion from the joining rings.

New glass shades were blown by 'Diffuse' glass blowers.

Colours were matched to the originals and painted in an epoxy paint system.

As of 23 March 2013, Wrought Artworks are no longer conducting architectural metalwork projects and have shifted focus to the manufacture of architectural steel windows and doors.
